
A native of New York State, Dr.
Gillian graduated from Colgate University in New York.
He then attended Upstate Medical Center where he successfully
obtained his Medical Degree. Dr. Gillian completed his
Internship at Martin Luther King, Jr. Hospital in Los
Angeles and the Veterans Administration Hospital
in Long Beach. He then completed a Residency in General
Surgery at Valley Medical Center in Fresno. Returning
to Upstate Medical Center, Dr. Gillian completed his Plastic
Surgery Residency in 1982 and was an Assistant Clinical
Instructor during that period. In 1982, Dr. Gillian and
his family moved to Fresno to begin private practice.

In order to keep abreast of current
technology and new surgical techniques, Dr. Gillian is
involved in a number of organizations. Dr. Gillian is
Board certified by the American Society for Plastic Surgeons.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He
is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons,
American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, California
Society of Plastic Surgeons, California Medical Association,
American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery, American Society
of Surgery for the Hand, American Association of Hand
Surgery, National Medical Association and the Fresno-Madera
Medical Society.
